Lauren Baak is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Heartwise Support in Omaha. With a strong background in ABA, Special Education, Speech, and Elementary Education, and a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University, Lauren brings a wealth of expertise and a genuine passion for helping children with autism. She lives in Omaha with her family, where she is committed to having a positive impact on the autism community.
Lauren’s work as a BCBA focuses on building relationships with our new families, crafting personalized plans to support their growth, and collaborating closely with our technicians to ensure every child with autism receives the customized care they deserve.
What drives Lauren in her career? “I love working with kids! ABA allows me to build a relationship with children and their families,” she shares.”Heartwise really takes the time to get to know each child and everyone involved in supporting them. We individualize each program and implement a holistic approach that ultimately leads to better outcomes.”
Lauren is particularly passionate about early intervention and communication. She finds great fulfillment in helping younger clients overcome communication barriers, empowering them with tools like the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) to express their needs and reduce frustration. Her commitment to exploring practical, evidence-based solutions has a profound impact on the children and families she supports.
Originally from Arizona, Lauren moved to the Midwest eight years ago and now resides in Omaha with her husband, son, and two dogs. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the Omaha community.Lauren’s commitment to personalized care and her deep understanding of each child’s needs make her an essential part of our team, driving positive outcomes for the families she supports.
